Do you have an extra day in Lima, come and enjoy fishing with us!
We want to show you some of our beautifull beaches that offer us a variety of fishes such as Flounders, Sea Bass and Grunts. We use our well equipped Toyota 4X4 trucks to explore the beaches and desserts. The fishing technique is the surf-casting. Peruvian's Flounders and Sea Bass takes artificial lures like Rapala minnows, all kind of suspending minnow lures, Krokodile Spoons, also natural baits like white anchovies or silverside fish.
Beaches: One of our choices is Punta Salinas, 70 miles North from Lima, it takes 2 hours to be there and is a quiet and safety place to enjoy the fishing. Sportfishing Peru have the legal permits and access to the National Reserve area which is special for sportfishing! The second choice is Paracas and all the beaches arround this area, 150 miles south from Lima. Please contact us for more information and prices. 
Season:  The fishing season is the whole year round. No moon and second Quarter are the best's moons. Only restriction is size of the waves, it determines if the fishing is good or bad. 
Weather: Dry and sunny climate from September to April, with a temperature average of 22C (72 F). A little cold the rest of the year 17C. The water temperature in winter and spring time (May to November) is 15C.  
  • 06 a.m.: Pick up from your Hotel in Lima and departure to the fishing area.
  • 07 a.m.: Breakfast stop in Chancay, a typical Chicharron Sandwich (fried pork meet) with best quality Peruvian Coffe 
  • 08 a.m.: Arrival to the fishing area, arranges the tackle and start fishing.
  • 12 m.:    Lunch that consist in sandwiches, soft drinks, water, beers and fresh fruits.
  • 1 p.m.:   After a small break start fishing for the rest of the afternoon.
  • 3 p.m.:   Return to Lima City.
  • 4 p.m.:   On the way, visit an authentic Pre-Inca cementery of the Chancay Culture, a cultura that was specialized in fishing.
  • 6 p.m.:   Arrival to Lima, transfer to the hotel. End of our services.
For this package, Sportfishing Perú provides all the tackle and logistics but you can bring your own. Please take a moment to read and consider our recommendations. Peruvian Flounder are a predator bottom fish and take lures and baits. They live closer to the shore between the rocks and sand.
Our suggest is at least 2 spinning or casting rods, both 7 footers 2 piece, one medium action and the other medium heavy action.
As the same of the rods, at least 2 reels with a capacity for 180 yards of a 12 pounds line, similar like a Daiwa BG15 and the Shimano Bait runner 3500.
Monofilament Lines of 10, 12 and 14 lbs. Stren and Silver Thread are highly recommended
All kind of suspending minnow lures of 4 ¾" and 5" like Rapala Husky Jerk, YO-ZURI Arc minnow, Rebel Fast Track, and some spoon like Lurh-Jensen Krokodiles of 1.5 oz.
Clothes, Gear and other Things to Bring
  • Long sleeved shirts for fishing (inside the waders)
  • Long pants for fishing (inside the waders), please bring extra just in case you need to change the wet ones.
  • Long Socks to use over the pants
  • T Shirts
  • Caps
  • Sun Screen Lotion
  • Tennis or deck shoes
  • Camera
Our Package includes:
Assistance in the whole trip, all ground transfer in a Toyota Land Cuiser FJ105 or 4Runner 4x4 truck, all typical Peruvian meals and beverages while fishing (breakfast and Lunch), 1 full day of fishing, full tackle and natural baits, waders, American style fishing guide, roundtrip from and to the Hotel.
Our Package not includes:
The International airfare, International departure airport taxes, hotel in Lima, personal tips, airport and hotel bell boys tips, personal phone calls and alcoholic beverages.
